Our Vision for Odinani Mystery School

OMS is a long-term undertaking I embarked on to help bridge the gap in digital access to Igbo esoteric knowledge. It is a lifelong project, and with the support of my team, our subscribers, and our patrons, we will continue doing our best to build something meaningful and lasting.

This year, I’ve received several emails from people asking what the long-term vision for OMS truly is, so I’ve decided to share it publicly as clearly as I can. At the same time, I want to state something I strongly believe —> Ideas mean nothing if they are never acted upon.

The purpose of ideas, just like knowledge, is execution. So my hope in sharing this vision is not only that we fulfill it over time, but that others may also take inspiration from parts of it and build meaningful things of their own. A good idea remains powerful regardless of who brings it to life.

Our vision for OMS can be divided into four major parts.

The first part is the educational foundation of the platform. Our goal is to make over 1,000 complete teachings digitally available through the OMS website across multiple faculties. Those already familiar with OMS may already have an idea of this structure through the faculty outlines we have shared.

The Faculty of Divination, which will be our largest faculty, is projected to contain up to 350 teachings. Other major faculties, including Igbo Traditional Studies, Igbo Traditional Medicine, Symbology, and Igbo Language, will each contain up to 100 teachings. Additional faculties such as Dibia Insights, Energy & Consciousness Studies, Divine Feminine Studies, and Nne Agwu Studies will each contain up to 50 teachings.

In total, OMS currently consists of nine faculties, one of which (Dibia Insights) will remain free-tier and feature contributions from various Dibias who will be compensated for their work. With the exception of that faculty and some collaborative language resources, nearly every teaching on OMS must be researched, written, recorded, and produced by me personally. This means taking responsibility for creating close to 900 complete teachings over time, which is no small task, but one I am honored to carry.

Each complete teaching at OMS includes multiple layers: a written article, FAQ sections, quizzes, pronunciation guides, audio versions of the teachings, and a custom video lesson ranging from approximately 9 to 30 minutes. They are designed that way to provide fully structured learning experiences. Based on our current projections, fulfilling this first phase alone will likely take us until the end of 2028.

The second part of our vision is publishing. OMS aims to produce books, workbooks, guidebooks, and long-form educational resources centered around Igbo cosmology, spirituality, and worldview. Our long-term goal is to produce up to 50 books across both fiction and non-fiction genres.

These publications will serve two purposes —> preserving knowledge offline for future generations and expanding beyond the digital teachings already available on the platform. Alongside this, we also plan to create between 11 to 22 specialized online courses and guides outside of the general faculty structure.

The third part of our vision is technology through OMS Labs. Our goal here is to build and sustain tools that help Igbo learners and enthusiasts better engage with Igbo worldview, especially the language. Many of the tools already in development are designed to support digital literacy, language learning, and long-term cultural preservation. There is still much more to come in this area.

The fourth and final part of our vision is physical centers.

Yes, real physical spaces where members of our community can engage with Igbo worldview offline in deeper and more immersive ways. These may take the form of libraries, communal learning spaces, Igbo language academies, botanical gardens with Igbo-centered residencies, and other environments designed to preserve and sustain Indigenous knowledge systems physically, not just digitally.

These physical centers would eventually become offline OMS campuses in different parts of the world. Some may focus on one area of learning, while others may contain multiple integrated spaces. Time will reveal the full shape of this vision. What is important to note, however, is that this phase will formally begin only after the digital foundations of OMS are firmly established.

So there you have it, our vision for OMS.

As you can probably tell, there is still a tremendous amount of work ahead, but I remain deeply committed to it. I genuinely believe that the purpose of knowledge is application. If the teachings and resources we provide cannot improve people’s lives individually and communally in practical ways, then what is the purpose of preserving them at all?

OMS is a lifelong endeavor. As I write this vision statement publicly in May 2026, I hope the day comes when many of us can celebrate 25 years, then 50 years, and beyond together as a growing community built around preservation, learning, and meaningful action.

To everyone who has supported us so far, continues to support us now, and those who will support us in the future, I thank you sincerely. Your support makes this work possible.

May the benevolent forces of Igbo consciousness continue to guide our path.

Isee.
