OBODO: 2026 Q1 Letter from Oma
Dear OMS Community,
It’s safe to say we are now fully settled into 2026 and at a time in the year when momentum begins to build.
Wherever you are on your journey within Odinani Mystery School, please know that I am always rooting for you and sending good energy your way. May this year bring you a bountiful harvest in all the places you have sown good seeds.
In about a week, it will mark one year since we migrated all OMS teachings from Oma’s Garden to this dedicated platform. By June, OMS will also reach its second anniversary.
I want to sincerely thank each of you for trusting me and my team with this work. I look forward to celebrating many more milestones, years and decades, with you as we continue to grow together.
In 2026, I remain committed to expanding our offerings across all faculties. Those with access to the Faculty of Igbo Traditional Studies and the Faculty of Divine Feminine Studies may have noticed the uploads of a few custom lessons, this will continue across all faculties.
We’ll also be adding new features such as audio versions of articles, Igbo pronunciation guides, and quizzes to improve your learning experience.
On the OMS Labs side, my team and I are actively developing and refining tools to support your journey. You can expect ongoing updates as these projects evolve.
Our goal remains to provide high-quality, practical resources that support your growth and help you achieve meaningful results in your exploration of Igbo worldview.
OMS is here for you. Our mission is to make Igbo esoteric knowledge accessible in a way that meets the needs of modern learners, and we are committed to staying true to this vision for many years to come.
Thank you once again for your continued support. I wish you a fulfilling and successful year ahead. You’ll hear from me again at the end of the second quarter.
Jisie ike.
With immense gratitude,
Oma
Why “OBODO”?
We chose the name Obodo for our quarterly memos because, in Igbo philosophy, Obodo means “community,” it is a concept centered around the belief that "I am because we are." It teaches that our humanity is shaped through our relationships with others, that our well-being is tied to the well-being of those around us. Obodo reminds us that no one thrives in isolation, and that our actions should uplift not only ourselves, but also the collective we belong to.
