OBODO: Quarterly Memo (1)

We send out quarterly memos at the end of each quarter.

Dear OMS Family,

When we first began this journey on the 1st of June 2024, less than a year ago, our dream was to deliver 500 exclusive, in-depth teachings to you within our first 3 years. That vision was bold, but we believe in what we’re building, and more importantly, who we’re building it for.

Today, I’m writing to let you know that dream is growing and expanding. The timeline hasn’t changed. But the goalpost has definitely moved.

Why? Because you moved us.

Your hunger for knowledge, your questions, your commitment to inner and outer growth, these are the things that have pushed us beyond our original limits. And now, based on our current roadmap, each OMS faculty will soon house at least 100 teachings. That means we’re looking at over 900 exclusive teachings, with 100 more made open access for the wider world.

This is what happens when a vision meets a vibrant, committed community. We’re working very hard behind the scenes to deliver.

So thank you for being part of this. For growing with us. For trusting us to do the ridiculous. Your support and patience means everything.

We're just getting started, and the road ahead is more exciting than ever.

Yagazie!

With deep gratitude and joy,

– Oma.

Why “OBODO”?

We chose the name Obodo for our quarterly memos because, in Igbo philosophy, Obodo means “community,” it is a concept rooted in the belief that "I am because we are." It teaches that our humanity is shaped through our relationships with others, that our well-being is tied to the well-being of those around us. Obodo reminds us that no one thrives in isolation, and that our actions should uplift not only ourselves, but also the collective we belong to.
