General Lesson Summary

  • Lesson 30: Making Sentences with Health Words

This lesson builds directly on the previous one by focusing on forming clear, practical sentences using Igbo vocabulary related to health, illness, and emergencies. The objective is to enable learners to communicate how they feel, describe health conditions, and talk about urgent situations with confidence.

The lesson begins with a quick review of key health-related terms before moving into sentence construction. It introduces several useful sentence patterns across three areas:

  1. Health and Well-being – How to describe someone's general health, strength, and wellness habits.

  2. Describing Illness – How to express common symptoms and physical states.

  3. Emergency Situations – How to give instructions, report incidents, and talk about medical responses.

Learners are given a short exercise to practice applying some of the key terms within a sentence context.

By the end of the lesson, students should be able to move beyond isolated vocabulary and assemble simple, correct sentences to communicate effectively about personal health and urgent needs in Igbo.
