Energetic Body
The Aura Body (Ora) in Igbo Spirituality
Summary: Ora—the aura is the luminous garment of the soul, woven from breath, emotion, thought, and spirit. It is not bound by flesh but emanates from the deepest well of your being, extending like a halo of starlight around your form. In Odinani, it is Chi made visible, the rainbow body awaiting activation, it is your life force shining in divine alignment. Igbo mystics called it “Ora” the astral body, and they understood it as your medicine, your sacred fire. Across Igbo traditions, one truth remains: when your heart is in balance and your spirit is awake, your aura (Ora) becomes a beacon—protective, healing, and magnetic. To care for it is to walk in beauty, to breathe in harmony, and to remember: you are light, wrapped in light, guided by light.
Energy Centers (Chakras)
An Introduction to Icheke Ora (Chakras) and How They Work
Summary: Icheke Ora (Chakras) are energy centers within the subtle body that influence how we feel, think, and function, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. At the basic level the chakra system maps seven major centers along the spine, each linked to different aspects of life: survival, creativity, power, love, communication, intuition, and spiritual connection. When energy flows freely through these centers, we experience balance, clarity, and vitality. When blocked, we may feel stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected. Understanding the chakras is useful for learning to observe your inner energy and bring it into harmony. This system offers a practical path to healing, self-awareness, and spiritual growth.
