Important OMS Community Update: The Future of Our Learning Platform

Preview

Dear OMS Community,

Kedu? I hope you are all doing well.

I want to share an important update concerning the future of Odinani Mystery School (OMS), particularly our growing library of exclusive teachings and the platform through which you access them.

Between now and February 2027, we will be exploring and testing the best possible ways to migrate our exclusive teaching library to a new learning platform.

This is not a decision we are making lightly, and I want to explain why it has become necessary.

Why We Are Considering This Move

Over the past few months, we have experienced recurring issues with certain antivirus systems, internet security providers, and even Wi-Fi networks incorrectly flagging or restricting access to parts of the OMS website.

Despite the legitimacy of our educational offerings and the security measures maintained by our current service provider, these issues have continued to affect accessibility for some members.

While we have been able to resolve individual cases, it is becoming increasingly clear that addressing these problems one member at a time is neither practical nor sustainable for the long-term future of OMS.

Our community should be able to access the teachings they have paid for without unnecessary security warnings, restrictions, or technical difficulties.

We take our reputation as an educational brand very seriously, and we take your comfort, trust, and learning experience just as seriously.

Beyond resolving these accessibility issues, this transition also presents an opportunity to improve how our teachings are organized, purchased, and accessed.

As many of you already know, our long-term vision is to develop a library of at least 1,000 complete, in-depth teachings exploring different aspects of Igbo worldview. We need a platform capable of supporting that vision, serving a growing global community, and making our resources accessible to people with different learning needs and financial capacities.

This includes exploring ways for members to purchase individual teachings or collections without necessarily enrolling in an entire faculty.

What Happens Between Now and February 2027?

During this period, we will be carefully researching, testing, and evaluating potential platforms to determine which one best supports our educational model and long-term goals.

In the meantime:

  • All new faculty enrollments will be temporarily paused while we work through this transition.

  • The publication of new exclusive teachings will slow down so we can dedicate the necessary time and resources to evaluating and preparing the new learning environment.

  • Existing members will continue to have access to their current teachings through the existing platform while we work on the transition, subject to any temporary technical interruptions.

  • Our public-facing OMS website and other ongoing educational activities will continue as usual wherever possible.

For members who have already purchased lifetime access to a faculty, please be assured that we fully intend to honor your existing access entitlements. Ensuring that existing members can transition without being required to repurchase what they have already paid for is one of our most important considerations in selecting a new platform.

We will not ask you to take any migration steps at this stage.

Why We Are Taking Our Time

One thing I am particularly conscious of is that this needs to be the last major platform move OMS makes for a very long time.

We are not interested in rushing from one platform to another only to encounter a different set of problems a few years down the line.

We want to make a thoughtful, sustainable decision that considers security, global accessibility, affordability, ease of learning, content organization, and our ability to continue expanding the library for many years to come.

There is also something important about doing the difficult work now rather than waiting until the platform becomes significantly larger and much harder to move.

We are still in a position where we can make these structural changes with greater flexibility, and I believe it is wiser to address these challenges now than to allow them to become much bigger problems in the future.

What This Means for You

For now, there is nothing you need to do.

Once we have completed our evaluations and made a final decision, we will communicate the details clearly, including the new platform, what changes to expect, how existing members can migrate their access, and any steps you may need to take.

February 2027 is our target period for completing this evaluation, not a guaranteed migration date. We will prioritize getting the decision right over rushing the process.

I also want to emphasize that this is a change in how we intend to deliver our teachings, not a change in our commitment to the work itself.

The vision for OMS remains the same. We will continue documenting, developing, and sharing the knowledge of Igbo worldview through thoughtful, accessible, and increasingly comprehensive educational resources.

To everyone who has supported OMS, enrolled in our faculties, purchased our books, shared our resources, or simply followed our work over the years, thank you.

Your trust means a great deal, and part of honoring that trust is being willing to make difficult decisions when they are necessary for the long-term health of what we are building together.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through this important phase.

As always, if you have any concerns about your current access, please feel free to reach out.

Daalu nke ukwuu, and take good care of yourselves.
